I have the best time watching puppies play! They are so carefree , happy, bouncy, and my how they can roll!
Today I let the puppies come to the porch, and now they found it they will own it! I did not know there were so many puppy toys lying around. Leaves, pieces of pillow stuffing (don’t ask) sticks, Drover’s ears. Abilene’s tail, and the water bowl I fixed because I did not think they could reach the “big dog water bucket” WRONG! It was like “oh look at me! did you see me drink water? I’m a Big Dog Now!” So the little bowl became a noise maker on the rocks and cement. The louder it was the better they liked it. The slats in my fence was part of the obstacle course they wiggled through in to the leaves on the other side . Then up running oh there is a big dog ZOOM by and back into the porch. The leaves in the flower beds crackled and were deep they bounced and rolled and ran all through them. Then one puppy would run up behind the others cut left or right and ZOOM by and back out then back in again.
Drover thought they were great fun but learned very quickly that Abilene said long as she was around they were off limits to him. He likes them to play with him and was very tolerant long as Abilene was not looking if she was he was out of there! Amarillo stayed up high so they could not touch her , BOO was ahhh I am out of here! Montanna was sweet with the puppies.
They explored the front , side and back yard all by their selves, I just watched from my rocking chair. Abilene played and taught them at the same time. It is so amazing to see her firm but gentle way of correcting, but at the same time she clearly was enjoying their play as much as I was. As I sat in the chair the puppies started to come over and want to climb into my lap , others would come and think they could just jump right up into my lap and would try that, trouble is their depth perception is still not good and it caused them to miss they would start the jump too soon. It was hilarious.
Then they got tired and piled up against me (yes I was on the floor by then) and took a nap. They woke to being took back to their puppy room and there they had supper!
WOW! What A Day!!!
