Okay, I AM TIRED tonight!
We had a Great day for our Herding Work shop! The day was bright and pretty with a bit of wind chill but in all really nice!
We had 11 dogs work today not counting Drover and Amarillo who stayed behind in the pens working. The rest of the Maple Grove Farm Crew all sporting their pink hearts bandanna’s for Valentines Day stayed at the house along with the 5 puppies. (unofficial attendee not invited was one unwanted lab mix who finally left after he figured I was really crazy and just might make good my promise while I chased him like a mad person on the gator)
We had 8 English Shepherds 1 Border Collie and 2 Pembroke Welsh Cardigan Corgis and (1 pup along for the socialization) in attendance. All did real good and all worked sheep and ducks.
The Hunt girls Kynsay and Ashlyn were my “Duck Wranglers” and in general main helpers! They had a new friend help too, Ms Jamie Daniels from Chatham County. All three girls did a super wonderful fine job! And I could not have had adults do a better job! These girls are special and real workers! Okay I am impressed.!!!
Lunch was wonderful! Diane brought a delicious soup and cake (Richard’s 39th Birthday he said!) but who am I to question? Look for the cake Recipe soon I promise it is heavenly! Rebecca had killer Brownies. Debbie brought cherry cheese cake mouth watering! Laree furnished the delicious corn bread for the pintos. And I ate some of all of the deserts! We sang Happy Birth Day to Laree and Richard! After lunch Richard took a nap and I kept finding somewhere to sit!
We all had a real good time and learned so much! Everyone left tired but happy and most of all the dogs had that pleased look as well!!!!!!!!!
