TODAY WAS INTERESTING…

Farm work is hard on the back!  Mine is sore tonight!  Wow! Much was accomplished today! I had talked to Leonardo about fencing for my sheep and he had said it would be a few weeks before he had time to help me. Danielito showed up unannounced this morning. Ready to start cutting brush and trees for our fencing project.

I was not ready (still in my PJ’s) and had nothing prepared. But I am nothing if not flexible especially on short notice.  So socks went on over the PJ legs and a sweat shirt over the top and then the wonderful invention “Overalls with leg zippers” Teeth brushed hair combed (yeah right!) ear muffs and gloves  boots finished my practical  if not  fashionable ensemble .

We jumped on the Gator and and headed down to the sheep pens. Danielito cleaned the pens. It was a hard job, he even said so! He speaks very little English okay none, I speak very little Spanish maybe porquito, anyway we seem to be able to communicate okay. At one point he called some friend that speaks English and Spanish and had  this person translate. This fellow said that I was talking too fast for him to understand! Does anybody that knows me not find that funny!!!???

I moved the horses fence to take in the grass that has not been grazed, boy when I last checked they were still eating grass!

I filled all the animal’s water troughs and cleaned them first.

Danielito and I moved the sheep pens ! All of them and I separated my sheep into two pens. The duck pen was made twice the size it was and tomorrow we are fixing a duck egg laying box because my ducks are a laying eggs.

We had a mouse incident. I moved a large plastic box and there was a Momma mouse with babies under it, I had the dogs come and take care of the FMAs (futuer mice of America)  In the process the Momma mouse ran and I was showing Montanna where she went well about that time I saw a mouse tail at an odd angle.Yep you guessed it that mouse was headed up my overalls leg  I was doing some dancing and squealing and jumping up and down! Now Danielito  not understanding did not know what to do or what was wrong. I started to unzip my overalls leg (zipper is on the outside, that crazed mouse by this time was up around my waist then went across my back side and back out my leg! (Now remember I had PJ’s on and socks over them!) Thank goodness or that thing would have been next to my skin! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!    When Danielito saw the mouse he just died laughing he was holding his sides! (Reminded me of that Mississippi Squirrel song Ray Stevens did years ago… )

I am so very tired tonight.

Yes I loved  and played with the puppies tonight but not enough they said!
