Right before Christmas Les and I purchased a new mattress , and I was able to get a new bedspread and some curtain toppers to match! I was so excited and knew I had the rods to fit! Right! I did but the brackets were broke! They are the wide flat rods. Yeah, if you have put these things up before you know what fun we were in for! I had to find some new rods and finally 2 weeks ago I found them!
This afternoon we started. Lets just say Les and I were all thumbs and totally confused! It took us hours to hang 3 windows! Course we did wash the windows and clean the screens! WOW! That was nice by itself! I used some old curtains I had at our other house 14 years ago… and the new toppers (on sale they were!) I told Les he was not meant to be no decorator ! (Me neither!) But the end result was very pretty! I can remember putting up curtains and loving it! What has happened? After the first window I was thinking “why curtains?” Now I remember “why”!!!
Amarillo did not get that hair cut! I will do it Sunday! If it works out like the haircut for Abilene did she will have a few hours before delivery!
Amarillo is moving much slower and way more carefully now! Tummy is enlarging daily and the puppies are kicking like crazy! I can hear their hearts beating through my stethscope. She is very uncomfortable. Tonight she is in the whelping room and seemed to be real happy to go in there. The baby monitor is on and I can hear her even breathing!
This afternoon I sat on a bucket and talked to my sheep. They were so funny, smelling and nibbling all over me! They like to look me in the face and they study my expressions. What neat animals!
