This morning Les and I left early to pick up a horse from Ken Treadway. (I am trying it out!) He had sent it with the Waggoner’s a local ranch. As we headed down the driveway there the sheep were NOT in their fence! Seems they prefer the grass that has been mowed over the grass in the pasture!!!! We went on knowing they would not go far!
When we returned they were still munching the short tender grass on the unfenced side of the sheep pen! We took Drover (but his services were not needed!) and a bucket with some feed and they crawled back under the fence where they crawled out at ! Easy enough!
Well this evening there they were again! OUT!!! Again they had went through my NON HOT Electric fence. SO now I will have to get busy and make that fence HOT!!!
Les rode the new horse and he did great! I rode him and he did GREAT! We will see how he does this week….I will post a photo. He is pretty! But he is not Texas!! But I would have picked him if there was a choice. Will see…
