Dogs barking at nothing! Horses out this morning! Again! But this time my fence was cut into! odd for sure! Then BOO was having a I will bite you fit at dawn! No I was too sleepy to get up!
Ducks will flog people ! Momma Duck got me! Sheep jump flat footed from a stand still over four foot fences!
Hay mowers break ! The square bailer man’s wife had her baby 4 weeks early, all is well I think, so only round bales this time! But Lord knows I am thankful for the hay!
No rain but there has been rain all round us.
The Grass Carp died in the pond!
Dogs are barking way too often!
Seed ticks are eating us up! Poison oak is really bad! And chiggers are out in full force! Did I mention the fire ants? My legs look like I been in a briar patch with Burr Rabbit!
It is a FULL MOON! That is the reason for all this!
But this evening after feeding, I was headed back to the house. The air was nice and cool (like springtime)! It smelled so very good , clean and crisp….The whipoorwill was singing, the crickets and bull frogs all making music. Th fireflies were out lighting the way. The pond was smooth and quiet. And the sheep were jumping and playing! What a site to see! The dogs were model English Shepherds.
I looked round at dusk and thought”my how lucky I am to live in such a wonderful part of the country!
The mountains Ole Steep Rock was bathed in purple light!!!!
My it is a good day to be alive!
