Today was HOT!!!!!! What am I saying it is still HOT!!!!! I have been fencing with my new handy I LOVE IT temporary sheep fencing. It looks like woven wire and has the post all ready made into it…. EASY!!! Well if it were not so blasted hot!!!!
The dogs and I have worked on it all day! Finally my friend Reba came up and I had 2 legged help! We got it all up about 8 PM and then started the electrical hook up part. Guess it might have been more simple if I had looked at and actually read the directions. But it did not appear to be rocket science! Well after fixing the existing electric fence and its troubles we got the thing a working… I am telling you all I LOVE this fence!!!!!
This afternoon it was so hot I could not stand it so Montanna, Abilene, Amarillo and Drover all went swimming. As I watched their delight and joy I decided I would get an old float and join their fun in the pond!!!!! Yes The Pond! Now it has been years since I went into the pond. I had clearly seen snakes, turtles and fish among other things in the pond and had decided it was not well er safe… BUT THE HEAT SAID OTHERWISE!!!! So I eased in on my float never touching the bottom and the mud. I took a white T plastic post with me to whoop the snakes off of me should the need arise! !!!!! I had a ball!!!! The dogs swam and swam with me! They were so funny!!! I would catch a tail and hang on and they would pull me all over! Even Montanna had a big time with all this!
During all this fun my Mother came to the door and saw what I was a doing… She said “Kay are you in the pond????? ” I said “No Momma!” uh….. She said there are snakes and such!!!!! I said don’t worry!!!!!
Well now I think I need to ask my Brother to make us a beach !!!! What a good idea!!!!! Who needs a CEMENT POND????
It will not be my last swim in the pond I expect!!!!!

I would’ve loved to have seen that! Sounds like you guys had a blast. Water is the only way to get cooled off around here!
