Saturday morning came quickly for me. Not much sleep as I went to bed LATE! I only thought my feet were sore Friday morning! But all that was forgotten in about 2 minutes!
As the sun came up over Dutchman’s Mountain I knew it was going to be a beautiful day with perfect weather.
Breakfast of Bagels and coffee friends and cream cheese!
I was running round in my sheep PJs as folk were starting to arrive around 8:30 AM..Hum thought I best change and I did! And the fun started!
All my helpers were working hard at their posts.
Steve and Jack had the cooker out and cleaned up and ready to fire up. Table cloths and decorations were set out and as the second table cloth was being smoothed out on the tables up jumped an English Shepherd! Yes right in top of the table! No not one of my girls! Fixed that and posted a person to keep watch there on out!
It seems like a whirl wind of a day for me. But all went well and with all the help I had I could mingle a bit while keeping everything on tract and on time.
Barb started her CGC test at 11:00! That is the one thing I totally missed! I hate that too! I had never seen it (well maybe next time!).
I saw dogs having a big time in the pond.
We ate on time ! The food was plentiful and real good! My favorite this year was the pepper jelly and cream cheese on crackers! Course it was all delicious!
Afterwards Mary Peaslee gave her Historical Talk on the English Shepherd Breed. I did get to hear some of it! It was so interesting!
Next was the Auction! What fun! What good sports everyone was ! We had such nice items and they fetched a fine price. At the end of the auction Raffle we rasied $1151.00 for NESR!!!! That is all most double last year’s and the most to date!
Thanks to everyone for Raffle Ticket purchases, and the Live Auction participants! What fun! (I will give more details on this tomorrow)
And A huge Thank You to EVERYONE that donated items. We had some real nice things!
After all this fun we went down and watched Richard and Rowdy do a Search and Rescue Demo!
Then photos…A whole group one minus many that had all ready went home by this time. And the black and tan group, Tri colored and black and white group, and then the Sables!
After all this we went to the sheep pens and worked sheep and ducks!
As the sun set over the pond it was beautiful! What a perfect ending to a wonderful day!
