This evening Drover finally had opportunity to work in the field and the round pen!
I could see the desire in his eyes all weekend! Boy did he want to get out there!
He was wide open too! He wanted to fly out and get em! NOT GOOD!!!!
It took me some real yelling to get his attention ! Seemed longer but in a few seconds he was listening and obeying me! Maybe better than ever!?!?!?!
We moved my flock into the holding pen. Then into the round pen. Where suddenly his ability to hear me stopped AGAIN!!!! But quickly it came back and we were working but much faster than I care for! (It is a circle and I do get dizzy) Plus the sheep have so much more pressure in a smaller space.
Then we moved the sheep in and out of the round pen to the pasture and back again. Oh yes Drover was loving this work!
We stopped on a good note with a still ready to go get em dog. But he was a happy one!
Tomorrow we will move the sheep with out a fence to the back side of the dam for the day and then back up before dark ! Coyotes are out at night so the sheep and ducks have to be put up at night.
