Good Dog!!!

We were very successful in moving the sheep!!!

I was a bit concerned!
I can just imagine a big sheep disaster!  Sheep lost going in all directions, no fencing , my hair standing up, and me screaming!  Well you get the picture!!!

Thankfully that was not what happened!

I opened the gate  to the new pasture, Drover and I went to the pen where the sheep were and I put him in a down stay  away from the gate and to the off side… Then I opened the gate and the sheep followed me (the shepherdess) and my bucket of corn! (grin!) trick!  across the field. I knew without looking Drover had gotten up and followed by the sheep’s reactions. They were starting to push past me where just before they had stopped coming with me! I turned and said nothing Drover dropped to a down stay and watched as the sheep went right into the new pasture!   I never said a word to him during all this except the original down stay.

I was impressed! We are starting to come together as a team! Nice quiet work and easy as pie too!

Good job Drover!!!
