Today was beautiful! It started out chilly and damp, but warmed up and the sun shone brightly!
I had purchased some tall dutch iris bulbs over the weekend. Plus yesterday some mums and pansies on sale at Lowes. I could hardly wait to plant them.
I fixed my barrels first with the bulbs and the pansies. But had plenty left over. So in front of the tack room I made a new flower bed. I dry stacked rock I brought down off the mountain behind my house. I put black plastic down (crab grass is my only real difficulty!) and filled it with old composted dirt full of earth worms and I brought down some woods dirt as well.
Then planted the mums in a compost spot, and saved some grass out of the mums it is an ornamental the purple one.
I also sewed some poppy seed! Everywhere!
Now I have to fix a spot in a window for my plants I am wintering.
The dogs had a blast today. They ripped and roared about.
Abilene is slowing down more and her tummy is expanding daily!
Ducks, Sheep, and Horses enjoyed the day as well!

Would love to have been there to help you dig in the dirt!! All it has done here is rain, rain, rain!! You’d think for December it could be a LITTLE cool! No such luck!
We need to see pictures of your pansies, etc.
Best,Sylvia and the *wild child*- who IS getting better!!
