- Ears should open around days 13-17
- Temperatures should be around 97-99F
- CARE OF THE PUPPIES

- Keep whelping box around 80-83F
- Begin holding puppies in different ways (applying light stress)
- Trim nails weekly
- CARE OF Abilene

- Abilene should get three times her normal amount of food
Tomorrow we trim nails! They have done some growing! Purchased new glasses for this tonight! (Puppies will appreciate my being able to SEE!)
I have been handling puppies and loving on them, Cuddling and laying beside the whelping area. In fact I went to sleep there last night! Duh!!! Woke up in 30 minutes to a very unhappy hip!
I plan on redoing the bed for the puppies tomorrow!
Tonight I noticed some eyes that seem to have open slits!

The journal is a great idea. Not only does it give good information on the care of the dam and litter, but shows the fun as well. Good job, I hope you can keep it up.
