Sunday!!!

It has been a cold wet, now snowing and sticking on the grass and trees weather kinda day!

It rained and rained then it was quiet and I looked out and low and behold the ground was covered in white! The biggest snow flakes were falling and it is beautiful!

It has been a slow but very eventful day!

We had two geese visit the pond early this morning and the dogs tried hard to convince them to leave. These geese knew the dogs could not get to them long as that stayed in the middle of the pond. I had BOO and Amarillo and Sandy up. So the swimmers were not on duty! Nor did I turn them out. I knew they would swim out and try to get to the geese. I was afraid it was too cold for such swimming! Les finally got the geese to leave with a couple of shots in their direction.

The puppies are on the porch with Abilene. All is well…NOW…

But this morning when I woke and checked on the puppies about 7:30 AM  I only counted 8 puppies! WHAT!?!?!?!?! Okay, this is not funny! Pup. Pup.Pup!!! No where to be found! I looked and looked! Went everywhere! Thought everything ! The Worst!!! Les came out to help…I am all but in tears… Les opens the shop door goes in and guess who comes out to greet him?! Oh thank you Lord!!!! Yes! It was number 9!!!!

She had went into the shop from the far side ! I have noticed that she is very independent and will explore!  I hope I have all the holes plugged tonight!

This evening, cause it was so cold, I thought I would put Drover in the crate, in the new room we are building. I was just going to show him he could go in it! I leaned down and as I did I said ‘Here!” well Drover thought I meant get on top of the crate (he likes to sleep up high! The bridge of my noise and the top of his head met straight on! I like to have passed out! It hurt bad! (Still hurts!) Bless his heart he thought he did something wrong! You could tell! I had blood come out my nose. I sure hope I do not have black eyes in the morning! It is all swollen and I feel like I have sinus trouble!

As I post this Montanna is on the floor in the utility room sleeping, and all the dogs and puppies have settled in for the night. One more puppy feeding before bed! And Yes! It is still snowing!
