No Lamb Yet!!!!

All day one of my last 2 ewes yet to lamb has been laying around and breathing heavy! I thought for sure she would lamb this afternoon…But as my Sweet Grandma use to say “the apple is not ripe!” Law from the looks of the ewe I do not know how she could last much longer!

She is laying in the stall, likely this will be a 4:00AM lambing! Anyway my baby monitor is on and I am listening in  even in my sleep!

I have been working on my duck pens today. YES I am remodeling again! I think I have it figured out this time. I am fixing my female ducks a lot so they will be able to provide eggs (where I can find them and not in the dirt!) Plus the poor things, have too many husbands! So this way I can remedy that problem!

Drover and I moved the new  ewes this afternoon. That went okay. They were clueless and just wanted to run circles around me or over the top of me! Finally Drover was able to get them to move out and then they went to the gate that was open.

I spent time with my lambs and my ewes. Gosh the lambs are so pretty and sweet! I just want to hold them and pet them. They will all be pets I expect!

The lambs are so soft and some have curls and others have straight hair. They are growing good.

Abilene is so helpful with the sheep in the barn. She makes ever step with me and is so interested in the lambs. She is very respectful of the Ewes and peaks around me to get a look at the lambs.

Well maybe a lamb in the next 24 hours!
