Three Dogs Snake Bit!!!

In my video section you can see a short video of the snake bite action today.

I did not know my dogs were on a snake when I took this. I first thought  it might be a possum.(BOO’s bark was this is bad but I am not sure what it is!)

But BOO was bitten twice she is the worst then Abilene and Sandy. Montanna was lucky! As she is the slowest ! she did not get bitten… Amarillo was up with her puppies thank the Lord! And Drover was up as well because Abilene is coming in heat and there will be no puppies! So while I had her out to potty this action took place.

They will be fine. Sore and painful for sure. Swollen like you would not believe.

All on antibiotics for the wound and Benadryl  for the swelling. They are in the utility room in the AC and sleeping, eating and drinking.

Abilene has that restlessness one gets from the Benadryl.

My dogs have never failed at killing a snake before. Today was a first! This snake or it might have been 2 snakes… was a medium sized Copperhead (I did finally see him) and he was mean! Guess that is why her bark was off.

They stayed at it till they were hurting too bad…That is when I realized something was wrong! This all lasted about 15 minutes.

You can bet till this bad snake is killed I will be super careful where I walk!
