AHHHHHHH!!!!

Finally Yesterday , Danieleeto that helps me do yard /farm work showed up to fish. I asked if he wanted to help me and he said yes. So today I picked him up at 7:20 AM (I know don’t faint) I was really there! We came back to the farm and got started.

The poke berries had took over my azaleas. Not to mention the weeds and vines! Plus they had taken the view of the pond too!

Danieleeto worked all morning on it with amazing results. It still has to be weed wacked, but my it looks so good in front of the house now.

I worked pulling weeds from my flower beds and made my way through some real thick grass.

I was over at the barn in that bed next to my garden. The dogs were not interested in helping they were in the shade napping, but keeping and eye on me too.

I had pulled about half the grass, and was cutting the tops off the spent glads. My right foot rolled on something. I thought gosh I have a lot of glads I am stepping on as my foot continued to roll. (I had on tennis shoes and shorts.) It rolled again and I looked down…that is when I saw him! Yes HIM! Oh! AHHHHH! He was brown and orange and copper colored, no mistaking WHAT he was!!! I jumped about a foot off the ground and landed away from HIM!!!!! I screamed “GET THE HOE!” I had just bought a good one at the junk sale Wednesday for a dollar I ran and got it. I screamed so loud Danieleeto using the weed eater heard me as did Les on the lawn mower!

HE was a COPPERHEAD SNAKE!!!! He was 28 inches long and about 3 inches across at his thickest!  He was evidently headed to the side of the barn to lay in wait for mice! He had THAT on his mind and NOT me! Thank God!

The dogs came running and as I swung the hoe I chopped that snake with the hoe and killed him!

My snake dogs were very interested but there were no takers from the last time bitten ones!

There is no reason on this earth why he did not bite me! I was all on top of him literally! I was stepping on his body!

What I know is that today Kay was protected by her Lord Jesus Christ! Because that snake would have bitten me otherwise!

You gotta wonder why…

and then I can just see The Lord saying “Look Get OFF the snake Kay!!!”

Maybe there is some meaning in this? Maybe it was just not my day to get snake bitten!

I can tell you all …I am not afraid of snakes in general…But I do not want to ever be bitten by one either.

The adrenalin flowed for some time!

I just hope it was that bad snake that bit my 3 dogs (BOO twice) earlier in the spring !

Sorry no photos! I did not think about it!
