Once in a Blue Moon I go to the local Denton Laundromat! I take large items like dog beds, blankets, etc and wash and dry them there instead in my washing machine. Things like this is hard on a regular washer and I don’t like the idea of the dirt in my machine!
My friend Jamie said she needed to go wash her dog beds, I had a big pile too so tonight we went.
I was thinking what luck no one was in there! We drug all the blankets and beds in along with all sorts of dirt, bugs, leaves, shavings and who knows what!
Quickly we filled every large capacity washer in the place (7 ) total but still had 7 loads to do!
Inserted Quarters cling, drop, cling and there went $22.00 ! Just for washing!
Then the soap! I had 20 Mule Team Borax and Surf liquid detergent. Jamie warned me that I was using too much detergent! She even pointed to the signs that said use half as much as normal! But my stuff was dirty! I wanted it clean! So it tripled it instead! All was good! And it all was clean!
The last load in the newest Large capacity washer with digital read outs (state of art machine) Up front so I am sure the owner is proud of it! I did the same thing that I did the first time and with a smaller load than the first one!
We were at the back and I said something does not sound right. Then some little short man came into the building and said “Oh my goodness! That washing machine is running over QUICK DO SOMETHING!” I walked up slowly and said “Yep it is” Hum, what do you want me to do? ” he said stop it! Oh by this time the floor was flooded and soap and 20 mule team borax was EVERYWHERE! I took it all in and said ‘Awl, it will be okay” he said “call the owner!” There is the number. ” Then out the door he went and was mumbling.
We were laughing so hard! There was nothing to do but let it wash.
In a few minutes it QUIT WASHING and Failed! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
We loaded two regular washers and finished the rinse cycle.
Then a couple came in to wash clothes. They took one look at the floor us and just had the most disgusted look on their faces! They did not stay long!
We finished as quickly as possible and loaded up our stuff and went home!
During all this Drover was patiently waiting in the truck for us out front!
I sure hope the washing machine is okay!
Guess I should have listened!
Dogs are all sleeping on fresh bedding tonight! and just in time it is suppose to be really cold here tomorrow night!
