This is a brief over view of the clinic. (I will post a daily record as time permits)
I worked for months planning, fixing, preparing and getting ready for this Sheep Camp!
What is sheep Camp?
You come and stay on the farm for X number of days, bring your herding dog, and work your dog daily twice, All meals are included as is a place to sleep here on the farm.
Larry was scheduled Literally MONTHS ago to arrive on Friday the 22nd of February. (I was thinking lots of time he gets here early in the day can look things over make changes if needed and he would have a good nights sleep) Well Mother Nature in the form of a BIG snow storm had other ideas! The Kansas City Airport was CLOSED! the 21 and 22!!!
Larry called his flight was cancelled! Then he called back it was on then back and off and then HE COULD NOT LEAVE till SUNDAY EVENING!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, what can we do?
Luckily Marilyn, Larry’s wife was able to book a different flight on Delta and he was able to leave Saturday Night! Okay so we are loosing a whole day! But we could make that up with 6 extra runs a day! A lot of work for ALL But doable! Les and I picked Larry up in Charlotte NC at 11 PM Saturday night and arrived home and made bed by 1:30AM! Boy did 5:00AM come early Sunday (as it did every day the rest of the clinic)!
