My cousin Jr has four children (all grown now) …And the first one was married Saturday.
Les and I went to the rehearsal dinner and helped with the serving Friday. I did some decorating and made a chocolate cake for the occasion.
Gina (Jr’s wife) had called and said Phillip wanted my Grandma’s Chocolate cake and could I share the recipe? Of course I was happy to… But I figured Gina might be a bit busy to bake cake so I fixed it.
As Les and I set up for the dinner, it brought back such sweet memories of our wedding. Grandma and Grandpa fixed (YES Astor Delk Helped Lyde cook!) for our Rehearsal Dinner. Still makes me smile and brings a stinging hot tear. As it should!
i hope and pray the newly weds are as Blessed as Les and I have been!
This evening Les and I went to pick up the wood stove for our house from Cousin William. What an interesting deal this is! The guys pried, pushed, blocked, jacked, winched, and I prayed the thing on the trailer! LOL! We have a long way to go with it before we have it running!
It will hopefully ride home slowly and carefully tomorrow! Safely!
Ernie and Artie came by and we all worked sheep this morning. Artie did great! Drover worked on driving sheep and did well too!
Tomorrow I clean!
I am still smiling and remembering my sweet precious Grandma and Grandpa! How wonderfully blessed I am to have had such good people in my life!
