Les and I visited with Laree in the hospital Sunday.
She looked good! Had washed her hair and had regular PJs on! Great sign!
She is having difficulty eating because of the medications. Hopefully that will improve soon!
I knew Laree was seriously sick. Open heart surgery. A Heart Pump and Defibrillator …then being on the Heart transplant list…( I understood) Or I thought I did .
Laree explained that that the pump is doing the work for her heart! ( I guess I thought it was an assistant) Her heart is resting and the pump is pumping her blood. She has all kinds of tubes and such and will have to be hooked up to a power source until she receives a new heart! Makes sense but think old time Cell Phones (kinda the place this technology is at) …The technology has advanced… in fact most women could not have a heart pump… because the pump would not fit into their body! Until recently! But I had no idea…To actually see all this and to understand what is really going on…Amazing yes …but the seriousness of it all…I can see now…
Now Laree is doing very good! But she needs your prayers and healing thoughts and cards, well wishes and appreciates all the support you all are giving her.
Thing is …are you all ready for this ? Once in a while the heart will heal… while it is not having to work to pump blood… This a rare occurrence…But it is possible and I want to ask you all to pray for Laree for her heart to be healed and not have to have a heart transplant!
I do believe in miracles! And I am praying that Laree’s heart will heal! I ask you all to pray with me! That Laree will get well and not need a new heart!
