One of the amazing things about living on a farm is the work…It is never finished…and that is not a bad thing…there is all ways something to build, or something that needs doing, or fixing…I love it…
Our little brown hens (what is left of them) the hawks have eat good…and the hens have become smarter…Guess seeing your buddy get eat makes you “think” ! We are getting 12 eggs a day at least! I am pleased! One of the pleasures is hunting and gathering eggs…
I have been planting a few things…caught some good deals at Lowes…
Studying for my teaching Sunday (I teach one Sunday a month) in the adult class…Love is the subject…sigh…a lot of good things in this one…and I all ways learn more when I teach…I study more! and pray more…
Then there are the sheep…
I have been blessed with a fine crop of lambs this year! In fact we had a ewe deliver this morning! (no not a clue she had been bred back!) Abraham has been on the job! I just weaned her lamb 3 weeks ago… born in November! I was surprised to say the least!
We sold several ewes and a few lambs this afternoon to a nice couple with 5 children…They will enjoy and have a good time with the sheep!
I have 9 nice Ram Lambs (Katahdin Dorper crosses) black and white to sell…And I want to sell my Churrios…I have 5 of them…They are really nice but Les and I cannot shear them any more…I wish they were hair sheep! (truly a easy care breed except for the shearing part)
We have a litter of puppies (I think) due June 16! Drover puppies! Email me if you want to be on my puppy list. These will be fine dogs…
I am excited about my garden! I hope it will work up in a few days…I am ready to plant! veggies and flowers…Truth be told flowers are my favorite! Except when I am eating squash, cukes and tomatoes!
My friend MD will be visiting next weekend….We are going to work our dogs! I really looking forward to her visit!
First of May my friend JM will be up visiting for several days …I am looking forward to her visit too!
