We have been busy!
Drover and I went to a AHBA herding trial in Berryville VA Memorial Day weekend.
We earned a HTAD Level III Title on Geese!
We worked hard (and I was nervous! ) So we did not title in anything else …But had some respectable scores considering I was so nervous!
This past weekend we kept our friends dogs while they attended a wedding out of state and looked after their chickens and cat.
Saturday we had a fund raiser at church and did very well! We held a Ladies Brunch and it was beautiful, fun and uplifting!
Abilene is in the family way! And it looks like a good sized litter will be due the 14th of this month!
Drover has been taking care of the sheep…and Kat Ballou has been learning to listen to what I tell her! She is full of her 6 month old self but very biddable! (Thank you Lord!) I am sure the chickens mention her in their prayers at night and in the morning! as well! 😉
We had rain this evening! So very thankful for that!
I plan to do some yard work tomorrow…
Enjoy the photos from the Saturday Ladies Brunch at Piney Grove UMC !
There were 7 beautifully decorated tables. Here are a few of the tables. Everyone had a great time!

***The Ladies sitting at the table with the beautiful sunflowers were the Queen and her Court!)***
***The Lady in the dresses did a Fashion thru the years quick change and talk! beginning with the 1800s, a flapper version of the roaring 20’s and ending with a dress of recycled Cool aide containers!***
***Last but not least the SURPRISE of the day …Les had made a statement he would donate 100.00 to the cause (sending kids to summer camp) to anyone that showed up with a 20’s style bating suit! (he thought he was safe) But Mona and her sister got him and his 100. bucks! This is Mona modeling the bathing suit her sister made in less than 5 days! for the event ***
We all had a great time ! Fun, fellowship, a great motivational talk , good food and just a fine time! 🙂
