I was given this old photo from the 1940’s…This is of my Daddy, his brothers and some cousins…
Yes that is my Grandparents house (My great grandparents too) and that is feed in the feed sacks on the front porch! LOL! No …wicker furniture or rockers on the wrap around porch! It was a real farm…My Daddy and his brothers worked from an early age…They ate well and worked hard and learned what they needed to be successful in life…Many things that cannot be taught in school were learned on the farm…they had common sense, and a love for their family and the land that fed them…and their God that helped them…
Sadly that wrap round porch is but a memory…The house is still standing and well …
