Well we had a real hard killing frost last night! it got most everything here. All the flowers…The grasses I grow are still okay…But most likely there will be another frost tonight…
The sheep are doing well…Fat and sassy…Loving the cooler weather…So are the dogs…And you know what? I like it too! Good sleeping weather and great working weather!
Les and I have a lot to do this week. We plan to paint some on the cottage…and maybe fix that pump house…Plus we are sending a puppy to Canada to a sheep farm! (Wish I could go there as well!) Maybe a trip one day! And then Marianne Dwight is stopping in on her way back home from Texas to visit and rest for a day or so!
I visited my cousin Terry and Beverly and their family Thursday and Friday. Then Saturday attended a Breeders Symposium at the NC Vet School. That was very informative… Taught Sunday School this morning and ate lunch at Pleasant Grove a church on our charge, came home went to bed and slept for 5 hours!
I have two 10 week old Drover BOO puppies (males) tri colored that are ready to find their new homes…What an entertaining group they are! Drover was on top of the crates, KAT was up in the yard and Montanna was in the corner daring them to bother her! They get in that No No NO please do not put me to bed yet mode about this time of night…So they play so hard …They are good puppies! All crate trained!
Well tomorrow we are off to the vet for a visit. Then Tuesday Tess flies out of Raleigh…
At church we are planning the Christmas Program! Think Shepherds, Sheep, and the Christmas Story! (Les is going to be one of the shepherds! What fun! and I am thinking Drover can be a “shepherd’s dog!” It will be a good program!
It is a brisk night here on the farm…the kind of night my sweet Grandma loved…and I do too…
