Wood smoke heavy on the cool crisp breeze tonight.
Sheep off in the distance softly speaking to their lambs, and the sheep bells softly tinkling.
Owls speaking off in the distance to each other…
A fox barking, and the darkness… damp from the moisture from the rain last night.
The smell of fresh growing grass and the clean air…
A good dog ready and happy to go to the field to shut the far gate.
A day spent working sheep with a good friend who is heading to the nationals for their breed out in Missouri!
Being tired from the days work…looking forward to a good night of sleep and rest.
All simple Country Pleasures!

Exactly on target… love all those things. Have some but not all of those there with you — I owe you a long letter – but it’ll have to wait for a less wild time. Too many things happening – doing a house switch – hoping I grow to love the new place as well as the old too far out in the boondocks. Found a nice brick ranch from the 60’s (when people really knew how to build right I am told) with about 1.5 acres and surrounded with rolling hills and much woods – and a good dog proof fence all the way around the back yard. And lots of flowers coming up in a small garden with flagstone paths — Have to say that
Neeka is the smartest. or quickest to learn what I want from her as well as stuff she figures out by herself – as any dog I have ever had. Have to go about my day — moving probably end of may or early June — I’ll stay connected.
