Birthday Week Celebration! At Maple Grove Farm!
Last week was my birthday…I was born on Halloween! Hard to guess that one, right?!
Not a milestone birthday just the best one ever!
How old am I? Depends on what I think I can get by with telling someone…So no I am not telling! Well at least not the truth. Learned that from my Sweet Aunt Grace! And in her honored tradition I stand firm…
So my Birthday week started with my friends Sylvia, Mike and Rosie (their English Shepherd) Snell coming up from Florida for a visit. They stayed in their beautiful motor home with us for a week of fun and just hanging out and talking and going Junkin!

For my Birthday we went to Priddy Store, in Danbury, in Stokes County, NC.
WHY?
Well I love it there ! I love to take people there! It is a step into the far past… And I LOVE the Bologna sandwiches with extra Dukes Mayo, Onions, Home Grown Tomatoes, and a slice of Hoop Cheese! Try to beat that!!! If you are in the area go by and check the 1888 Priddy General store out! Still run by the 3 rd generation Priddy family. Tell Jane I sent you!
Then we drove through one of the worst rain storms I have ever been out in.
We arrived home safe and my friends from Marshville, NC came up and took us out to dinner at the Classic Family Restaurant in Denton! Yum! and afterwards we came home and enjoyed a homemade Apple Cider Birthday Cake made by our friend David! Super 5 Yums!!! OK Nowhere to put much… until Friday morning for Breakfast! Yum yum!
David and Reba brought me a present . Everyone knows how much I love my sheep…I collect sheep… So my collection grew this birthday by leaps and bounds! I had so many beautiful gifts that included sheep!

Then late Birthday night my friend Kay and her brother Doug drove up from New Bern and spent the night with us. Friday morning we went to Hickory Hill Nursery and they purchased many beautiful plants for her daughters new homes! I ended up with a few too! 🙂
Saturday Night we went to Haley Bales for dinner! The place for the best grilled chicken and steak. 5 Yums!
Sunday Church…was awesome! and our guests from The Shepherd’s Cottage and my friend Sylvia attended with Les and I.
Then!!!!
Shona and Jeff came and we rode horses on trails across the road! We had a wonderful time!
My Cowboy!
Then we all went to Hillsville (NC) to a great little place called The Hillsville Cafe and had a fine dinner!
5 Yums! And I got Border Collie hugs and grunts from little Tug the sweetest puppy!
Sadly Monday my friends returned home.
What a fine Birthday Week full of celebrating with my Les and good friends! I am so very blessed!
BOO’s version of my happiness!
I experienced a calmness and wonderful feelings of love, joy, and happiness …sigh…It was a wonderful time!
