Peace…and Adventure!

We had the most enjoyable Valentines Day!

Les and I visited our good friends in New Bern yesterday!

We left home at 9:15 AM and returned at 11:15 PM

Okay I admit it! It was difficult for me to leave and be gone that long away from the farm…This happens to you when you have so many animals that depend on you! (but I was fine and really wanted to go!_

We had the best time ever!

First stop was at Kay Stevenson;s beautiful home. She should be a decorator! There were so many things in her beautiful home that stood out…But the counter tops were the star! she took old wood out of her family tobacco barn and made her counter tops! I LOVE them!!!! Just breath taking ! and what an awesome idea!

The other favorite at her home for me was her garage!!! it is detached…Oh the possibilities for a cool Air B&B…

After a  lovely very short visit we were off to her daughter… Robin’s! She has a awesome beautiful amazing new home.

The living area is my favorite! It has everything. and room! The size of the area and how Robin has pulled it together is amazing. The perfect blend of… a View  of her lovely farm, her farm house style, antiques, and comfortable furniture from today is brought together with her peace and Robin’s feeling of love for her family!

We met all the animals! Saw Astor (horse) , the Dexter cows,  and Mutton (English Shepherd) !

Then off to the Valentine’s dinner at the church our friend Kay attends. We had a ball! The entertainment was Broadway at its best! featuring Kay Stevenson…Star ! She entertained with music  My what a beautiful voice! The food featured Texas at it’s best with steak that melted in your mouth !

Then

All the great friends we saw! My my what a wonderful mememberable time we had!

Oh the red velvet cake was awesome too!

The people at Broad Street Christian church were well CHRISTIAN!  We will be back!

Then off to home!

All was well and I was greatly missed!
