I love to go camping! So do my dogs, and I like to think my horse likes to go camping too! I kinda think Tuff may have the worst of it! He has to carry me on his back so I can enjoy the trails.
Last week Marianne, Gerry, Diane, and I all went to Mount Rogers National Recreation Area in Virginia and we took the horses plus Ginger, Elvis, Eli and Drover.
Our original plan was to pack in…That sounded like a great idea, Les suggested I think about the plan more… and it was decided that a base camp at Fox Creek Horse Camp would be wiser. And Les was correct!
We had good food, fun, two great horse back rides and a truck trip to Back Bone Mountain, Elk Garden, Green Cove and White Top Station.
I had a great time telling about each place and showing my friends the interesting history of this area.
Soon it was time to leave and head home.
