I consider myself a shepherd.
this evening I went to check on that troublesome ewe…She was not with the flock. Drover and I rode the gator as we checked the flock. Then places in the field. As we rode by the cool woods…There she was with two brown lambs just born! She is a very good Mama.
We took the fence loose and carried the lambs up and into the pasture, well away from the fence line.
I marveled at the cool of the evening and the sweet evening breeze. I went to the house and did some work, and watched TV with Les for a while.
I went back to the field and checked on the ewe and her twin ram lambs. The sky was indescribable …clear and a slight breeze was softly blowing. The sheep chewing their cud, and the stars gave me all the light I needed to go over the field. What a beautiful sky…What an amazing creation…And awesome God.
The lambs were fine and as I listened to them talking to their Mama, softly bah…and Mama speaking back ….I could hear the love and care in her voice. How she helped her lambs and encouraged them to nurse. Yes all was well…
I opened my window and as I went to sleep to the sounds of sheep bells and soft sheep sounds…All is well…
