Busy Day!

I hit the floor running this morning! We finished the flue for the wood stove last week, and we have the wood stove installed properly today. I still have to paint the room and Les has to put the trim moulding up and something has to go on the floor. Then a ceiling fan and something on the windows and voila! complete! BUT in the mean time we have wood heat!!! Yeah!!! It has been several years since I was truly warm in the winter and I am so looking forward to the warmth and the wonderful smell of wood smoke outside.
This has been a big project for us. Everything we used was saved, or free with the exception of the flue block and liners. We had to add eight feet onto the end of the house so that there was room for the wood heater. This project was started last fall. But it is usable now and we are very happy with the results. Our friends Diane and Buck laid rock on the wall behind the heater and built the hearth. Boy it is beautiful rock work! Next week I will start adding photos to the blog.
This evening Drover did a perfect down stay as I asked him to do and held until I asked him to come. During all this he was with his presence keeping the sheep from running past their pen and gate. Good dog!!!
