DROVER AND THE PUPPIES

Today the puppies spent all day outside and on my porch! It was cold so we moved the Crate that they sleep in with all their special blankets out to the porch. So they had a warm place out of the wind to nap in as it pleased them.Plenty of hot goats milk was served much to the puppies delight!

They were adventurous going all the way to the tack room and a bit beyond by their selves. Then playing with Abilene and Drover in the back yard. Course Abilene did not see Drover playing she has watched this litter like a hawk . I suppose the 5 grown dogs have made her be concerned not that they would hurt the puppies but I trust her instinct.

As long as the grown dogs stayed an acceptable distance Abilene gave the puppies more space thus allowing Drover to slip in and play ever so carefully with the puppies. He so amazes me. Dover plays but easy like, even when the puppies get rough with him he is still careful. Drover is afraid of Abilene and slips out of her close zone when he sees her coming his way.

Today the puppies pulled his tail, chewed his ears, barked in his face, crawled all over him and he was just so good and happy to play and be played on. He never once made a puppy squeal!

Amazing!
