It is all most time for the puppies to be going to their forever homes! It is an exciting time and a sad time for me as well. I think about all the hope and promise I see in this litter , and I sit and wonder at what a good life they will all have. I have chosen (am choosing still) carefully. I have listened (still listening) to prospective life time companions 4 legged and 2 legged. Making sure I am choosing wisely the puppy for the person.
I realize what a big step this is for the people as well as the puppies. I spend my time loving, teaching, watching, looking out for the puppies. So is Abilene. She is so amazing to watch as she plays and teaches the puppies. I know how hard it is to have someone else choose your puppy long distance and how there is never enough information or photos on the web site to satisfy . Then there is that pesky wait till you know for sure which one is going to be yours!
The puppies are all sleeping in a crate on my porch and for the most part pottying in the grass and leaves. They are eating good have been for weeks now, but still love their bowl of special goats milk twice a day. Rebecca was by yesterday and allowed that no one had missed a meal! That is for sure nor will they here!
They are growing, running, jumping, climbing, playing, chasing each other, sleeping and in general being puppies! They are so pretty! Yeah I am biased! Smart I had them all sitting today for sugar cookie crumbs. They love them! No real toys here, only plastic milk jugs, cups and such like socks with knots and of course a real puppy ball. They love to make noise.
Abilene has weaned them and they will get their first shots this week.
My hopes and dreams for each one of these little puppies is that they will be loved, taught discipline, have good warm homes, be safe , healthy , happy, and live a very long life doing whatever it is that they were meant and best suited to do as dogs.
