THE STORK ARRIVED!!!!!

WHEW!!!!!! Finally! They are here!  The stork landed at 11:40 PM last night with the first puppy unloaded! 1. A female Black and Tan weighing .95 pd.!  2. At 12:25 AM the next puppy arrived a Black and Tan Male weighing 1.00 pd. 3. At 1:20 AM a Tri male weighing 1.10 pd. 4. At 1:40AM a female weighing 1.20 pd. 5.At 2:05 AM a Black and tan female weighing .90pd. 6.At 2:51AM a female Tri weighing 1.05 pd. 7. At 3:07 Am a Female Black and Tan weighing .85 pd.   “AT THIS POINT I was getting very sleepy and kinda closed my eyes”  8. At 3:40 AM a female Tri weighing .90 pd. 9. “Yeah I slept for a few minutes!” At 4:20 AM a Tri colored male was born weighing 1.00 pd!  I went to sleep as did Amarillo and woke about 2 hours latter to still 9 nursing puppies and a very relieved Amarillo!

The evening started about dark with Amarillo wanting and ready to go potty every time I gave her opportunity, I knew something was up! I all ways have the flash light but laid it down in the house about 10:30 PM (Knowing better) then when we went potty about 15 minutes latter I was following in the dark up the bank to the woods behind my house in my PJ’s and sandal crocks! NOT SMART! Well she did not get to go potty again with out the flashlight and my real shoes! I knew from all the signs she was ready for the “Stork” to arrive!

At 11: 05 Pm her water broke!  The rest is above!

Today she and I both slept in till noon! I on the floor beside her where her puppies were born, She in her whelping bed!

I will spend the night there tonight with her. That way if she needs to go potty I can take her out.  I should mention I have a whelping room in our shop. It is inside and has all modern conviencences.  It is comfortable for the dog as well as me.

In 2 days we will do photos. I want to let her bond with and take care of her puppies and not disturb her right now she deserves the rest and time alone with her puppies. She is tired ! and as Grandpa all ways said “Kay give em some time alone they do better !”

I figured up the puppy weight Amarillo had was 8.95 pounds and then the ambonic fluids likley another pound at least… so 10 pounds of puppies in her tummy! Poor thing!

Congratulations! Looking forward to their pictures. Do you have a waiting list for these pups and what is the purchase price? Thank you

Congratulations all!!! I’m happy everyone is healthy and all is well. Enjoy them “fast”. They grow up so fast. I had Sadie (Tara) at the vet for puppy shots yesterday. She weighs 16.9 lbs already. The vet was very impressed with her. Said that she hasn’t seen really nice English Shepherds around here for a long time. Thanks Kay for your attention and expertise and most of all the love you pour on the puppies at an early age.
