That “Moment” of Recognition…. Came for the first time at Two and a half weeks of age for the first puppy in this litter. It was the male puppy named “Parker” .
With all my litters I announce myself to them by calling “pup, pup, pup, pup,” as I enter their room. From birth I do this. They will wake up or stop what they are doing and look my way and bark sometimes or now they come to me of course at Three and 1/2 weeks of age! But Little Parker raised his head above the mass of puppies one day and looked me in the eye and held that look and came right to me with the unmistakable understanding that I was calling him and he was to come to my call! I have not noticed that ONE puppy in other litters like I did this time. I am sure they have been there I was just not fortunate enough to see it the same time that it happened!
It felt real special, It was special. Right in my heart and that puppies eyes two creatures met in understanding!
Yes , it was special. I expect I will look for that again for a long time!
