Puppy Duck Testing !!!

Today, my good friend Tosha came over with her girls about 2:00 PM and we sat out under the shed and played with the puppies for a long time. The girls wanted to help with the duck testing so we gathered up the collars (to tell the pups apart with) Put them on and took some pen and paper and to the stall with the small Mallard ducks we went.

It started kinda slow, the puppies were tired from all the playing they had done, so after some short napping things got interesting!

The stall is 12 x 12 square and not the ideal test pen. It was a bit dark and the ducks were about the same color as the stall walls and floor cover, so they blended in fairly well.  But once we got the ducks moving the puppies were interested. We had some fun moments!  A couple of the puppies took right to the herding.  Others developed an interest as the ducks moved round in the stall.

I am quite pleased with what I observed today. These are real nice puppies exactly what I was looking for out of Amarillo and Drover.
