Les has weeded around the pond! BIG job and very well done! It took him two days to weed whack. Not all day each day, but it is hard, hot, tiring, work!
He has mowed most of the Sheep pen area and the duck arena. It is looking real good! There was a large thick area of grass the sheep hardly touched (they prefer weeds and Johnson Grass.) So I am going to bring Texas home the first of the week and let him have that sweet tender grass.! It should hold him for two weeks all most.
We still have not moved any of the temporary fencing for the sheep. Maybe Friday!
Tomorrow we are going to Burlington to a farm to work sheep. I am sort of worried. I am taking Drover, he has never been off the farm to a real trial place. Well I am worried more about ME and looking dumb! That is truth! Drover will do fine if I stay out of the way! I will post about the trip tomorrow night!
We have the shop to clean up and things to put in place in there. Plus my house to clean and the barn. Then there is the decorating! That is the fun part. I still have sheep pen repairs to make and the tarps to hang on the fences once they are all tight and secured. Oh and getting all the serving dishes and such out for the Gathering.
This evening Drover and I moved the sheep a bit. He wanted to be too strong at first but he got better.
I have paper work to finish for the AHBA Trial and emails lots of emails to do. I sure am happy we came home when we did from the mountains!
