This afternoon Drover and Montanna went with me to the store for gas. I thought that I would turn 20 of the ducks out so they could roam a bit and enjoy the afternoon. Eight of my new ducks have not had their wings clipped (maybe tomorrow) they are difficult to catch. Then I will turn all of my ducks out to roam. Anyway BOO and Amarillo were up in the trailer and Abilene was no where in site when I loaded Montanna and Drover into the truck.(I thought I had slipped out on Abilene!)
Down the driveway I headed and turned into the duck pen area. I left my truck door open and told the dogs to stay. I came back got in and went down the road. I looked up a mile or two away from home to be startled by the view in my rear view mirror ! There sat a black and tan dog! Uh! It was Abilene!!! Now what in the world!???!!!!
That sneaky piece of fur had come down to the pens and ever so quietly got into the back seat of my truck! Only to reveal herself still quiet as a church mouse down the road! Imagine my surprise!!!! I think I best pay better attention to leaving my door open from now on!
Want to bet she knew exactly what she was doing????!!!!! Most likely “Planned” it!!!!
