I have a patch of about a half acre of extremely tall grass down next to the arena that is just to big to mow with the lawn mower. I so hate to waste grass or anything for that matter…
So this evening,we fenced it with one strand of electric wire, and brought in Tuff and Goodnight our American Paint Horses. They will intense rotational graze it for me in a few days. Then I will be able to mow it for the AHBA Trial! This is farming 101….
We have ducks that patrol the field for bugs and such, sheep that fertilize the field, and English Shepherds that know and keep all the stock in their right places!
