It has been breath taking beautiful today! The weather perfect for Fall!!
I mowed the fields today. It smells so good! The sun was so warm on my shoulders ! I love the beams of golden light this time of year. And the dew on the grass of the morning as the sun comes up.
Tonight I have a fire. It feels and smells good…
Montanna is resting on the porch couch, like she worked hard all day…
The ducks were so funny, chasing bugs and working the grass. The sheep are all up tonight.
Momma fixed lunch for my helpers and me. It was delicious as all ways. Man she makes the best salad and apple cake. No the cake is not diet! But it does contain fresh apples! Did I mention corn bread! Oh my the BEST!!!
As I rode along through the fields on my neighbor’s tractor mowing, I loved it! The sound of the tractor and the smell of the diesel! Crazy I know, but it brought back so many memories of Grandpa and me… Only this time I had the best seat! (grin) I could feel Grandpa’s approval of my work here on the farm.
Yes in spite of the difficulties the day presented…It was a Beautiful, Good Day!
We should live in the “Moment” for indeed that is all that is required to enjoy our lives. Yesterday is gone, worrying about tomorrow ruins what is here and now and in our grasp.
