Catching Up…

We went to New Bern Monday Les and I and had a nice visit (way to short for us) with my Cousins Terry and Beverly.

Terry is doing well and Beverly is much improved but still not able to go like she use to…

Terry  has a nice black and white Paint gelding that he named Jackson. Jackson came from here…We had a mare that looked odd shaped when we first brought her home from Ken Treadways…Turned out she was bred and had a nice stud colt …

Jackson has been doing real good and is now 3 years old. But last week he got into the fence wire and cut his right hind leg . It severed the two main tendons and you could see the bone. The Vet said put him down but Nichole (my cousin their daughter) wanted to save him! So she and Terry are doctoring Jackson twice a day with hydro therapy and putting medicine in his wound.  I will say it is bad! But I think he will be fine… they have a LONG way to go though!

Cousin Beverly sent me a truck load of goodies she had been saving for me! All kinds of good stuff like a coffee maker, dishes, bowls, and Cousin Terry bought me a set of blue wheat pattern dishes at auction!  It looks like Christmas round here!

Les has started his new job! He had applied over a year ago with this company and they called last week! So he is very happy and he left Tuesday ! He will be home much more often! Yeah!

I had lunch today with Diane and Richard Swift at The Village !!! A very nice surprise for my day!!! What a nice visit we had!!!  Lots of talk about dogs and horses and such! They had been to pick up a new manure spreader!

Tonight all that bad weather in Davidson and Randolph County happened just a few short miles from my Farm… I sure hope things will look better in the morning! We were without power for 4 hours. But had no damage thank the Lord!  I sure hope my neighbors are okay too! Still raining and turning colder… Today was in the mid 70’s and tomorrow’s high will be in the 40’s!!!
