Today as usual we took the sheep out to pasture.
I had parked the truck in a different location and the sheep object to such foolishness on my part!
So instead of going down like normal sheep…they went on past the gate and to the front yard at Momma’s.
This web site business has consumed me and I am not at my best (easy going ways)…So I impatiently sent Drover to gather the sheep and bring them to me. I was urgent in my instructions to the dog and he understood I meant it right now!
Away he went and in two jerks of a sheep’s tail here came 4 Ewes straight toward me! Uh Oh! Oh shoot! I started for the Magnolia Tree I had my hands out reached for it! One step from safety and BOOM! Right into the side of my right leg about half way up above my knee (THANK YOU LORD!) Knee was not hit! A 175 pound Ewe knocked me on the ground! I landed on my hip bone and then right under my arm pit on my side that hit next! I threw my hand over my face and sheilded my head as best I could as the second Ewe ran over the top of me! Good thing is “IT WAS QUICK!” and I am sore but not hurt! Some skint places on my hand from sheep hooves! Gosh! It was like falling off a horse !
I got up and told Drover you still have 3 missing Go Get EM! He did and put the sheep in the gate.
What a wild time it was! The Good Lord kept me from getting really hurt! I am thankful for that!
Guess I should have thought about what would Bud Williams do?
Drover did as he was told! It was not his fault!
That song….Grandma got Run Over By a Reindeer! has been on my mind all day! GRIN!
It is all good!

Happy to know you haven’t got any broken bones. Bet you’ll feel all of your muscles tomorrow. You are quite fortunate not to have got a hit on your vital organs. Keep us posted…Ellen
