Hello and Thank you Kay

I would like to thank Kay for this opportunity to blog with her.   I am very fortunate to have found Kay and her breeding program.    My husband Ed and I have had English Shepherds for many many years.  Living on a working cattle farm makes it imperative to have dogs that you can trust and rely on in any situation and then be able to have a best friend with you when the work is done.    This is the type of dogs that Kay breeds and I am so blessed to have Skye.   He has proven to be an excellent working dog and the best friend you could ever want.

When we brought Skye home he just made himself fit right in, his purpose it seemed was to please us and do everything we asked of him.   Not everyone is lucky enough to bring home a puppy and have no trouble or problems.    Skye seemed to  have the ability to understand what we were asking of him.    The training process was so easy.   We just wanted him to find his confidence and his natural instincts would develop as he did.     He did not prove us wrong.   We could see with each new adventure or task he was developing into the kind of English Shepherd we wanted and needed.

We run about 50 head of cattle at any given time and we are both retired so our days are filled with ordinary chores and then the occasional disaster diverting type of day.   I spend a great deal of time in the woods and the creeks with Skye.   Water is his passion and the frisbee is second.   We have 120 acres and the dogs and I usually make at least one round everyday.

Each day is an adventure for us, we find great joy in the farm the animals and especially our best friends.   Skye is my dog, he waits for me at the door and stays by my side as we take the challenges of the new day.   It will be fun to go back and remember some of the interesting moments Skye and I have  shared.   I will be back very soon.
