What a group of Puppies! They are so like their Mother in so many ways! And their Daddy Drover!
Rockey (a tri) is just a delight! He has Amarillo’s silly bark ! It sounds like ” oh oh oh you!” He spends his time on my top step” Waiting “on me to come out the door! He loves to spend time with me. He is interested in going everywhere with me and is quite the alerter of strange dogs and people on the porch. He is not at this time very interested in herding. But he loves to ride the gator and go to feed the stock! Rockey will look a lot like his Mother , I believe.
Durango, a black and tan male, is sweet and playful and fun! He likes to cuddle and snuggle and is very interested in working the sheep! He will make a great dog for farm/ranch work and should be a good herding dog. He too alerts when strange animals are round!
Justin is playful and loves the water (they all do really) … He gives his brothers a hard time if he can, he is a bit on the bossy side. He is a tri and shows some interest in the sheep. He should do well anywhere he goes but would be happiest in a country setting. He is a great mouser! All these puppies have been catching mice for the last two weeks! And bugs! They are so cute to watch!
Stetson, is more business like and he shows a lot of interest in herding. He lays under my step and guards from there. He loves the ridding on the gator and wants to sit in my arms! But does not mind the crate! A really smart puppy!
Today they have played and slept and played!
We went to the sheep pens where all the puppies took turns in with the sheep. The sheep respect these puppies. They are fearless, and smart!
We played at the pond late this evening and what a time they had! Swimming ! Running, jumping and climbing! They climb on everything including the Jon Boat and the Gator. I have to flip the seats up so they can’t get on the back of the gator! Yes they are a handful! I
I have 2 or 3 of the 7 leaving this weekend I think.
What a group of puppies! What fun they are!
