Tonight at 10:25 PM My Mother Betty Sue Delk slipped from this world to the next one.
She was born June 20th,1939 to Edith and Ralph Rogers. One of four children. She is survived by her sister Janet Allen, 2 brothers Houston and Don Rogers.
Her two children Kenneth J. Delk and me. She has 2 grand children Sarah and Jay Delk.
Momma attended Denton High School and grew up in Handy , N.C. (that is close to Denton).
Daddy and Momma met at a Halloween Dance , married and 2 years latter I was born on Halloween! She said she was dressed up like a cow girl complete with cap pistols! Momma was a very pretty lady all ways!
She was a wife, mother and helped my daddy in his construction business for many years. She also worked for Acme Hosiery Mill for 10 years.
She had remarried 3 years after my Daddy passed on March 24th, 1990. Paul Whitley was her husband for 19 years.
She loved the beach and the sun. Was a good neighbor and a wonderful decorator!
I am very sad tonight….
Any memorials may be made to the English Shepherd Club’s new “Stock Dog Program”.
