SIRE: Wingler’s Dillon
DAM: Maple Grove Farm’s Abilene
Maple Grove Farm’s Amarillo is a black and tan female born November 2007. She is about 19 inches tall and weighs around 48 pounds. She is of medium bone, wavy hair. Amarillo is very smart and so much like Abilene that if I see them in a distance it is hard to tell them apart. She is very good on stock and is started on cattle and doing very well. I have had her at Ken Treadway’s Ranch in South Carolina where she was very helpful in moving 250 head of steers for him. Everything she does is from her natural instinct. I like her natural ability . She is very easily directed and listens well.

AMARILLO PASSED MARCH 26, 2016
She was a good dog. We buried her where she can watch over the farm, sheep, our home, and her beloved pond. A dogwood tree will be planted on her grave. Please read my Blog…With A Broken Heart .
Thank you all so much for the kind words and encouragement that Les and I have been shown during this heart breaking time.
This was sent to me by my good friend at Ashton Creek Photography.
A friend (Gail) sent me this today…I think it is true…
It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them, and every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are. – Anonymous
