I was too tired to post last night. I started , stopped and then went to bed! I was give out as my Grandpa use to say! We went horseback riding at Uwharrie National Forrest and rode for 7 and 1/2 hours. Slow and easy and stopped to talk to everybody we saw! Some we knew, others we never seen before! But that is just how Les is he never meets a stranger and if a person is on a horse he has plenty to talk about!
BOO our young female out of Amarillo and Dallas went along. She did real good listened well and only chased one deer. Maybe she is cured from that bad habit?! She got gone and couldn’t find us for a few minutes. Then came up with two riders and they said she was frantic when she came to them. Well mabe she has learned why I call and fuss when she takes off! I sure hope so!
We rode with some friends that ride mules. In all a very nice breezy cool day!
Les rode a new horse his name is Tuff and I believe he will be staying! I rode my horse Texas who is getting very sway backed and likely it will be my last long ride on him. I could tell his back was bothering him and he started to drag his hind feet and was a bit stumbley. My what a fine ride he has been! I sure love him! Maybe he can be my occasional pack horse and my short ride horse for a while longer?
