Chiscoe…What A Fine Friend!!!!

This is Chiscoe when I first purchased him. Hard to tell here but he is a Palomino Paint! Gelding! One of the FINEST!

I rode Chiscoe for several months and realized he was too old to go all the places and the length of time I needed him to.  He is such a fine ride that I hated to not ride him! He is perfect! Does everything correct!

So Chiscoe settled into the life of a wonderful lesson horse! He has taught at least 25 children to ride. And never once had an accident with one.

Chiscoe during lessons use to throw his foot over on mine when I was walking beside him, as if to say “look I got it! You are not needed!” Or sometimes he would be saying” enough! I am tired of this!”

Chiscoe is retired now..And lives with three very special children: Kynsay, Ashlyn and Graham…Every morning  Ashlyn looks out her bedroom window at Chiscoe in their front pasture …(I know and understand the joy she experiences from just looking at him!) All the dreams he provides her! Priceless!

Chiscoe is still rideable . Round pen lessons got to be so boring for him after 3 years. He has been a fine horse all his life. I would love to find a 100 more like him in their early teens!

A horse is good for the inside of a person!

I all ways ask my students this question…Do you think horses smell good? If they answer Yes! Then I know they are truly in love with horses! I think horses smell the best of anything in the world! Nothing smells better! There are some equal smells but none better!

Chiscoe has been one of only a few horses I have been lucky enough to know and have the pleasure of having as my good friend, in a lifetime! I am so pleased that Ashlyn, Kynsay, and Graham have the same opportunity!

Chiscoe is my fine friend!!!
