Today we worked sheep…Once a week or so as needed…Kay and I gather the sheep and pen them in the sheep pens and check them for worms and also their feet and anything else that might need attention.
Today Dan and Buddy came down and they took a lesson in herding . I like to see them… and I all ways get to help in some way.
Today I was the stock handling dog. And I got to do some gathering as well.
Also Kay and I worked on driving. Then there were the wasp that had to be removed! Happy that went well! Last time was a different story!
We moved sheep from pen to pen and from one field to the other…I did all this work without Kay’s help and direction! And we gate sorted quietly and efficiently…
The one cool thing I did was : a lamb escaped and I went out in the 7 acre field and brought it back to the flock with some work and thought all on my part… that lamb was safe, back in the pen in no time! and not a hair was harmed on the lamb!
Kay was pleased and said so …
Today Drover was Thinking and doing his job he listened to me so well ! What a fine dog he is! 🙂
