Sunday …

Not exactly what church is thought to be …

Last evening I had made a difficult decision but knew it was the correct one for all…I had peace…

I slept well and woke peaceful well rested.

Every morning it is my job to take the sheep to pasture for the day. Today KAT and I headed to the far field with 45 head of sheep. Once that was successfully accomplished KAT and I headed back to the house. KAT had a nap and I got ready for lunch.

Les and I went to lunch with friends at Snyder Farms a great country buffet was enjoyed by all. We were graciously included in our friends celebration of their Dad’s Birthday… Sweet… peace and love… a blessing  was prayed over the meal …about that time… I recognized  in my spirit a feeling  of blessed peace and harmony…after our meal and good byes…

We arrived home… I was feeling sleepy. Drover was on the front porch… enjoying the sunshine I joined him. I had two cushioned chairs a blanket and my John Deer sweatshirt…I was set..with my sweet boy Drover beside me…We went to sleep with me rubbing my Little Buddy’s head. Sweet Peace…In the distance as I drifted off I could hear the bells softly tinkling …the wind and the sun on my face…

Les woke me as the sun was starting to set. I had to go gather the sheep up and bring them in for the night. As Drover woke up from his rest…I thought about how it amazes me that a dog can lay down and sleep anytime and seem so happy and rested in 2 minutes or in our case 3 hours.

Only KAT was needed to gather the sheep and bring them in. The other dogs were crated.

KAT and I started across the dam to the far field on foot. I love this walk the pond on our right side and the fields on  the left below us…everything is saying SPRING…we found the sheep in two locations…one close to the gate the other at the far end of the field…I sent KAT in a nice outrun to the far sheep group, and of course one silly lamb ran away from the flock! KAT tried but the lamb dove off the bank and was gone. Nothing to do but let her hold it for me and then I had to carry it back to its Mama. (YES!!!   I left the flock to go after one lost  or in this case silly lamb)  familiar?

KAT and I continued onto the holding pen…All went well…KAT is doing so much better…She is learning to work the large areas as well as she does in a small pen!

Sigh…off to feed and check the barn nursery…

I realized…everything today had been leading up to this awesome moment…

KAT, Drover and I entered the simple stall with three ewes and four beautiful lambs all born in the last 36 hours.  Hay and fresh air provided the heavenly incense for the worship. No candles …The wind was the  constant soft music and of course a soft bell …provided what was needed… I sat against the wall in the hay taking it all in… I realized in this special moment… I was truly worshiping God…I sat in amazement.

I have seen so many wonderful amazing things in the last few weeks…my heart  is so full…some things have been hard…But thru it all God has made a way and held me up when I could not stand… I lost four (Quads)  beautiful lambs and their Mother one of the best ewes I have…The bad has made me see more of the good…

Our job was to make sure the ewes allow the lambs to nurse…As I sat and watched… That sound of a little tongue and the smacking sound so sweetly doing the job of nursing… I cannot describe it…But as I sat there my dogs watching and doing their jobs of keeping the one ewe’s attention so she would allow her lamb to nurse… I knew this  was very special and I was in a sacred place and time…

I feel good and blessed …I am in a special place this evening…Thank you Jesus…God is so good…I just praise His Holy Name!
