Been A While…

So much happening this Spring at Maple Grove Farm!

LAMBS arrived in May, all 34 ( and lost only 2) so the total was 36! Ewes are all fine. And great Mothers! Even the Barbs ! I finally figured out how to be successful with them! A small field away from everything and tall grass= SUCCESS!!!

Only one difficult lamb was kicked out from its Mom and it was old enough to steal milk and finally stole from this one old wide ewe. It was able to come up from behind and after 4 days she thought it was hers ! She is nursing her twins and this wise lamb. All are growing well.

Our VRBO has been busy.

Our herding lessons and clinics are doing well! Shona and I continue to hold our monthly clinics.

We had Jim Hartnagle in March and then Jeannie Joy Hartnagle Taylor followed up in April! Plus in May Susan Long was here to do a clinic as well.

Susan will be back in September and then Jim Hartnagle in October!

OH! We have TWO AKC trials coming up! September 25 and 26 Cardigan Supported. Then the Pembroke Corgi Nationals! October 2 and 3.

We are also planning an AHBA trial in October and November!

God is so good!

We are very busy and happy!

Friends have been in and out !

Puppies arrived in March and left in May! I have a new puppy named Tallie. She is out of Drover and KAT Ballou. I really love her.

Journey, my friend Kay and I went to a herding trial in Nova, Ohio. What a nice facility and people! We completed our title in Herding Ranch Large Flock level III (French Style)  It was awesome fun!  But the Ducks were the surprise. Journey earned a 94 and 4th place (only 3 points separated 1st place from 4th)! It was Journeys 3rd time on ducks ever!  I was very pleased with him!

Ashlyn and I traveled to Mississippi in March to pick up a puppy for our friend Lawanna and at the last minute we also purchased a female for future breeding to Drover!  She is black and white curly coated and very smart. Her name is Whisper. Whisper is sweet and likes to work sheep!
